Moral Stories teach us how to respect friendship which will help us to rebuild it.
In a forest, two lions, Lokoo and Moti, were friends despite their differences. Lokoo was honest, while Moti was tricky. One day, Moti suggested they hunt together. Lokoo agreed, wanting a deer.
Lokoo succeeded in catching a deer, but Moti only got a small rabbit. Moti, jealous, proposed they bathe in the river before eating. While they were away, Moti convinced a monkey to steal Lokoo’s deer.
When they returned, Moti falsely accused Lokoo of stealing. Moti took the matter to the lion king. Lokoo, innocent, asked to prove himself, claiming the banyan tree saw everything. They asked the tree, and it falsely accused Lokoo.
Upon their return, Moti brazenly accused Lokoo of theft and insisted on taking the matter to the lion king. Moti, manipulating the situation, informed the king, “Lokoo is guilty of stealing our food.”
Though innocent, Lokoo pleaded for a chance to prove his truth. He appealed to the banyan tree, proclaiming it as a witness to the crime. The assembly, including the lion king, approached the wise tree and implored, “Oh great banyan tree, reveal the identity of the thief.”
A serene voice emanated from the ancient tree, accusing Lokoo. Thinking swiftly, Lokoo proposed a daring plan to prove his innocence. He set the banyan tree ablaze, and moments later, a distressed voice cried out for help – it was the monkey.
The truth was laid bare, and the monkey confessed to the lion king. Lokoo was duly rewarded, his deer restored to him. Moti, however, faced exile from the forest, never to return. Justice prevailed, and Lokoo continued to roam the forest, embodying the virtue of honesty.
